How We Work
We test before we write.
Most writers ask for screenshots. We ask for access. Every deliverable starts with us understanding and testing the product the way your users will.
01 / Discover
Understand your product & users
We start by understanding your product, your users, and the gap between them. Stakeholder interviews, SME sessions, existing docs review.
02 / Test
Test before we write
We get hands-on with your product. We test every feature, workflow, and edge case so the documentation reflects reality, not assumptions.
03 / Draft
Write with precision
Every deliverable is written from the user's perspective. Style guide enforced, terminology consistent, structure logical. No filler, no fluff.
04 / Deliver
Review, refine & hand over
Collaborative review with your team and SMEs. We incorporate feedback, run a final quality pass, and deliver on time, every time.

FAQs
Common questions.
Do you need access to the product to document it?
Yes, and we prefer it. We test the product ourselves before writing a single word. This is how we catch inaccuracies, understand real user flows, and produce documentation that actually reflects how the product works. If direct access isn't possible, we work with your SMEs closely.
Can you work with our existing style guide?
Absolutely. If you have a style guide, we follow it to the letter. If you don't have one, we'll create one for you as part of the engagement, so every document that follows is consistent, even if someone else writes it.
How long does a typical documentation project take?
It depends on the scope. A single user guide can take 1-2 weeks. A full documentation suite for a complex enterprise product can take 6-12 weeks. We scope every project clearly upfront so you know exactly what to expect before we start.
What if our product changes after documentation is delivered?
We offer ongoing retainer arrangements for teams with frequent product updates. Alternatively, we can structure the project to include a maintenance window after delivery. We also set up documentation in a way that makes future updates straightforward for your team.
Do you work on a fixed price or time & materials basis?
We work on a fixed scope, fixed price basis for most projects. This means no billing surprises, you know exactly what you're paying before we begin. For ongoing or evolving engagements, we offer monthly retainer arrangements.
Can you document a product that is still in development?
Yes. We often start documentation during the development phase, working alongside your engineering team. This approach means documentation is ready the moment the product ships, not weeks after.

as your product.
